When X-ray peaks in EDS data overlap elements can be misidentified or completely missed.  With a WD spectrometer and  INCAEnergy+ it is easy to resolve peak overlaps and analyse minor elements.

The energy region to scan by WDS is selected  directly from the EDS spectrum.  The resulting EDS and WDS spectra can be visually overlaid and the elements present automatically identified.
