Compare your spectra

The compare functionality, located in both the Analyser and Point & ID navigators makes it easy to compare spectra, even if they were collected in different samples or projects.

Multiple projects can be viewed in the data tree using the Add Project functionality in the File drop down menu. Using this tool multiple projects can be viewed simultaneously, and spectra from different projects can be compared.

The Compare Tool can be used to overlay and compare multiple spectra. The spectra are compared to a reference spectrum. The reference spectrum is selected from the active project, using the drop down menu at the top of the screen.

The spectra in the active Site of Interest can then be selected from the 'Available:' list for comparison with the reference. The spectra being compared are listed in the 'Comparing:' table.

Individual spectra from other Sites of Interest, Samples or Projects in the data tree can be added to the available box for comparison. To do this click and hold the left mouse button on the spectra you wish to compare until its label is highlighted in blue, and drag it into the available box in the compare window.

Once the spectrum is present in the ‘Available list’ then it can be added to the comparison table by selecting it, then clicking the top right pointing arrow.
